33 yo man trying to straighten wavy hair. Any shampoo or L'Oreal product that I can use for that reason?Thanks
I have naturally very thick and wavy hair. I straightened my hair a couple of times using those straightening creams. But they damage your hair. Specially for Men its not recommended to use harsh chemical creams for straightening, since men naturally don't have luscious and strong hair like women. I have been using L'Oreals Elvive Anti-breakage shampoo for a year now. It keeps my hair manageable since i wear my hair long.
So to answer your question. I cant comment on any specific straightening shampoo. But the Anti-Breakage Elvive Line of L'Oreal shampoo's are the best if you want straight yet healthy hair. Works for me atleast.

I'm growing my hair out and its now a mid length and I'm starting to wonder what to do with it and how to get it to look good. The problem is its not curly and its not straight, so it tends to just end up messy and with LOADS of volume. Can anyone suggest good styles for this type of hair?

Well ive been growing my hair out for about 7 months, im guessing its about 4.5 inches long since hair grows at max about .5 inches about, and it was 1 inch long when i got it cut back in december. Anyway i have the type of hair that grows into a fricking afro, it doesnt want to go down :(. As you can imagine i have family members begging me to get it cut, but ive left it because at worst i can put some air glue in and it looks presentable, just looks bad when its not styled. I don't know what he uses specifically, but Redken's ';Polish Up'; pomade works great for short wavy hair.
Just beware when you get a pomade that it is one that says it will give you a natural look. A lot of them are really greasy.

I can't find anything to do with my hair!
It looks fine after I get out of the shower and brush it, but after about 15 minutes it gets messy.
And if I try to straighten it... it just gets EXTREMELY frizzy.
Sooo..... are there any suggestions of what I could do with my hair????

You have nice hair, but I know it's hard to tame curly/wavy hair so my suggestion is that you grow it longer and use a curl defining spray, when it is still wet, it will make your hair curly with no frizz. And after you let it dry naturally just spray a small amount of hair spray on your hair just to keep it in place.Try Pantene curl defining spray, its only around 3 or 4 dollars, and since your a guy I'm sure you don't enjoy spending hours on your hair, this should only take around 10 mins to do.

Most of the time I get it trim with shorter back and side, and thin it off to get texture.
I was thinking to get it trim and cut it with a razor all over to add texture. Or just cut it with a razor all over to add texture.

List the things you like about your hair, list what you don't like. Then you should find some hairstyles for men that are similar to your hair's amount of wave and texture. Call your stylist and ask for a style change consultation. This should free of charge. You should bring any pictures you want your stylist input on and they should be able to tell you rather a cut will work with your facial shape and hair. If you don't have a regular stylist, that could be part of the problem with your hair.

i mean my hair used to be staright until i moved to florida whare its always humid. and it all got burnt and curly. and i didnt conditon it until now but it still doesnt help. so what can i do? the comb doesnt work. and pulling back looks wierd becuase i have a bit of hair but its not long. is there anyway to fix it? (sorry but i think you should know) you get some kind of moisturizer i suggest head and shoulders for your shampoo. you you take a du rag (basicly a scarf if you don't know) put it on and start brush with a brush and do it for about 5-10 minutes everyday depending on how bad you want them you gotta remeber everyday if you can. and if you can't do dat do it before you go to bed!!!! There is something called a wave cap. You can find those at your local beauty store. Also there are chemicals you can put in your hair to cause the wave effect. All these are located at your local beauty store.

I am a girl and i even know how to get waves. (sorry but i think you should know) you get some kind of moisturizer i suggest head and shoulders for your shampoo. you you take a du rag (basicly a scarf if you don't know) put it on and start brush with a brush and do it for about 5-10 minutes everyday depending on how bad you want them you gotta remeber everyday if you can. and if you can't do dat do it before you go to bed!!!! it depends on your hairs length my hair is long (but im a gurl dats y) n my hair is relaxed, the way i make my hair wavy is by wetting it, then after i wet it i soak it in curl defining mouse n after dat i jst scrunch it up with my hand and dats it!

Wavy Hair for Men, how do I get it?
I have hair that's just past my shoulders and I've gotten to where I have to straighten it because it's extremely ****** up in the mornings.
But now I'm wanting to make my hair wavy, but not overly wavy. But just enough to make my hair seem less flat all the time.

1. take a shower.
2. wrap here in towel for 5 minutes to let water soak in towel
